Using the idea of duality, I thought of Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights triptych and how the outside is deceptively dark and muted versus the chaotic and bright interior. Using that idea of surprise I thought of junk drawers and cheap souvenirs that are mass produced versus handmade crochet lace fabrics that are painstakingly made.
